FAQs: FAQs: الأسئلة الشائعة:
  • What causes infertility?

A: Infertility can be caused by various factors concerning men & women trying to conceive. Just a few of the common causes are Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, abnormal sperm production, an unhealthy body weight, genetic factors, chronic stress, or age-related factors.

  • How common is infertility?

A: Infertility is fairly common. An individual’s fertility is dominated by a range of factors including health, diet, adequate rest, weight, age & lifestyle.

Conceiving can, statistically, be more challenging after a woman turns 37.

  • Can infertility affect couples that already have children?

A: It’s a possibility. A couple’s reproductive ability can be impacted by chronic stress, underlying health conditions, trauma, or injury.

Experiencing infertility after having a child is called secondary infertility & it can affect both men & women. Routine health checks are advised so couples looking to grow their family can seek medical care & treatment for any underlying conditions that could affect their fertility.

  • How can infertility be overcome?

A: Our fertility experts invest time & attention in each couple, understanding their journey & challenges. This helps us tailor a plan that can help you achieve a positive outcome. Using only the finest cutting-edge technology, we rely on the world’s leading resources to help our couples.

We use pre-implantation genetic testing & routine time-lapse embryo monitoring to help couples achieve the best possible outcomes.

Some of our array of services at Medcare in partnership with HealthPlus Fertility Center Dubai, include assessment, hormone profiling, treatment for fertility problems such as IVF, ICSI, IUI; andrology, gynecology surgery, pre- implantation genetic testing, fertility preservation & more.

  • What is IVF and how does it work?

A: In Vitro Fertilization, commonly called IVF, is a type of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). Using a strategic combination of medication & procedures, IVF helps sperm fertilize an egg. The fertilization is done externally in a lab. You will be prescribed a course of medication that will heighten your chances of success.

In a lab, the eggs are mixed with sperm cells & monitored. When fertilization occurs, the cells in the fertilized egg will become embryos. The process is carefully monitored by our team of experts. The embryos are then transferred to the uterus via the cervix. A day of rest is prescribed, after which you can continue with living your everyday life
